But I do know that I’m definitely reevaluating my life choices if a reality show nimcompoop like her can have a stockpile of luxury purses (let’s not forget her Chanel and Hermes stash) while I save my pennies. Anyway, I like the plum hue - it’s bold but still suitable for winter.

Must have shoulder bag-YSL Besace Flap Bag

Yves Saint Laurent Besace Flap Bag,Now they seem to be popping up everywhere. One of my favorite designer labels, YSL, has re-interpreted this relaxed style and transformed it into a true luxury item. From bronzed to croc-embossed leather, the YSL Besace Flap Messenger is nothing short of spectacular. The adjustable shoulder strap gives it versatility and its' 11.5 x 9 x 4 size makes it quite roomy for this sort of style. It's not a flat messenger (my favorite type), but the extra space will appeal to a larger group of women who might have otherwise dismissed the messenger style altogether. If you don't have one yet, ladies, you should and who better than YSL to be your "first";-)

We’ve seen many celebs and people on the streets rockin’the YSL Muse, Uptown and Downtown bags, this year the Besace bag is brought back from the 1969s. The textured leather shoulder bag has brass hardware, inside zip and cellphone pocket for convenience, you know how it gets when you have a big bag. Jessica Alba, Sarah Jessica Parker and many other celebs have already been seen toting around the Besace bag, I think its a classic - I love simple timeless bags. I’m tempted! Do you like it?

When I first saw this YSL Besace Flap Bag, the size and shape appealed to me. The design was in a messenger bag style, and the size was perfect in a 'postman bag' proportion. Great for guys! However, when I saw the strap..I became doubtful. Doubtful that it will work for a guy as it is really short. Apparently, I was wrong! I came across this pic of a real guy on the street using this bag in croc embossed leather and it immediately screams to me as CHIC!

Messenger bags are typically reserved for anti-back pack college students, biker couriers and first year teachers. Yves Saint Laurent believes they can change that. This near $2000 Besace Flap Messenger Bag looks very much like a basic messenger bag but with somewhat fancier, high-end hardware. Perhaps YSL got bored with making terribly chic shoulder bags. Perhaps the company responsible for le smoking and the YSL Muse Bag wanted to corner the market on college students who lug around books. Either way, the color and hardware are great, but Yves Saint Laurent might have been more innovative with shape and function.
